I ficused my research on the potential of mucosal immunology in small ruminat in protection against respiratory bacteria pathogen (ie: pneumonic pasteurellosis, haemorrhagic septicaemia) result showed that mucosal delivery produced better protection than systemic type of vaccine, easy to administer, time and saving and enviromental friendly. There are other sites of mucosal surfaces in any host that are lining with mucous membrane with similar potential in marine and aquatic animals. Since one of the issues in vaccination is safe ansd sound adjuvant, i also develop novel adjuvant from marine and aquatic resourcesfor oral and intranasal types of vaccine. My involvement with aquatic species started with the pathogenesis studies of Streptococcis infection in Tilapia fish, and microbiological assessment of Vibrio alginolyticus infection in Perna viridis cultivated at open hatchery system in Marudu Bay in Sabah. It is very interesting to learn that the other lower rank animals aquire non-specific immune system armed with the other mechanism i.e. Hsp70 protein to enable them to be more tolerant with stress-related factor. Apart from immunology , my research also expended on searching for bioactive compound from traditional herbs as well as aquatic resources for health purposes i.e. fastening wound healing process, reducing hypercholesterolemia, antibiotic and side effects of the compound to hosts cells.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nangkula Utaberta IAI completed his PhD in Islamic Architecture with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (2009). He holds a Master of Architecture (M. Arch) from the same university (UTM-2005), and Professional Degree, Bachelor of Architectural Engineering (B.Arch Eng.) from Universitas Indonesia (2003). Nangkula has over 8 years experiences in Architecture practice as a professional architect for various projects in Indonesia such housing, public building, interior, landscape, conservation and urban design and also over 10 years experience as an academic. Currently he is an Associate Professor at the Architecture Department, Universiti Putera Malaysia. Before this he was a Senior Lecturer at the Architecture School of National University of Malaysia (UKM, 2009-2012) and Dean for School of Architecture and Design in Linton University College (2006-2009). He is a profesional and academic member of IAI (Indonesian Architect’s Institute) as well as researcher and advisor of some Centre of Excellent in Indonesia and Malaysia like Centre of Islamic Architecture from the Sunna (CIAS), State Islamic University Malang, Centre of Islamic Architecture (Islamic University Muhammadiyah Surakarta), Centre for Indonesia Reform (MUC Global), Centre for Study in Built Environment in the Malay World/ KALAM (UTM) and Centre of Humane Art (Design Modular Sdn Bhd). As an academic, Nangkula published more than 60 papers in index and refereed Journal with more than 200 papers in International and National conferences. He is actively presenting his knowledge in more than 100 seminar and public lecture and at the same time; he also published 5 books (join writer with Prof. Dr. Mohd Tajuddin Mohd Rasdi), 7 books on his own and more than 40 articles in Newspaper, Professional Magazine as well as on line website in English, Malay and Indonesian language.
Hafiz Daraghmeh received his B.s in mechanical engineering from An-Najah National University, Nablus-West Bank, Palestine during 2004~2009. After earning his B.s. in 2009, he was employed at the mechanical engineering department of Palestine Technical University-Kadoori (PTUK) in “West Bank- Palestine” as a teaching assistant and engineering workshop supervisor during the period from 2009~2012. He then moved to “Hsinchu-Taiwan” to complete his post-graduate study and work as a research assistant at Prof. Wang Chi-Chuan’s “Thermal Energy Management Laboratory. His study and job concentrated on finding some new cooling designs to improve data center cooling technology by modifying cooling cycle components especially "heat exchangers" and creating new techniques to enhance temperature, velocity, and pressure distribution to save energy and then reduce the costs spent on cooling systems. He received his M.s from National Chiao-Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan during 2012~2014. After earning his M.s in 2014 he joined the Ph.D program at the same department and continued his work as research assistant till he received his Ph.D degree on the 17th of January, 2019. After graduation, he then moved to “West Bank Palestine” to work as an assistant professor in the mechanical engineering department of Palestine technical university-Kadoori (PTUK) until now.
